After 4 months of suffering chronic pain in my neck, shoulder and arm, accompanied by pins and needles in my hand, I went to see Ranza. An MRI had confirmed that I was suffering with two herniated discs in my neck and the prognosis was quite gloomy. Strong pain killers from the doctor were controlling the pain but I didn't want to live on them forever. After just 4 sessions with Ranza I am now almost off the pain killers and the pain has just about vanished. I am now sleeping much better, able to drive again, and soon hope to get back to my beloved mountain bike! In addition to hands-on treatment, Ranza prescribed excercises to aid my recovery and, more importantly, she lifted my spirits and gave me the confidence that I was going to get better! I am in my early 30's and was diagnosed with Lyme Disease in late 2008 which has resulted in me having lots of debilitating health problems. Towards the end of 2010, a family member suggested that I might benefit from seeing an Osteopath. In my initial consultation with Ranza, she pointed out problems which I’d forgotten to mention which made me very confident in her knowledge and ability. After that first treatment, I walked out in less pain than I’d walked in with. Several of my health problems improved within just the first couple of sessions (including my painful coccyx bone, which the Doctors said I would "just have to live with"). I’m still seeing Ranza as a patient, but over the three to four months since I started seeing her, I’ve benefited so much, she’s improved my overall health problems and my general wellbeing. Erin had a traumatic birth - forceps, epidurals & emergency C-section. She was very unsettled, inconsolable and could not bear to be laid on her back – we tried EVERYTHING. After 8 weeks, our midwife suggested we try Osteopathic treatment. After the 1st treatment with Andrea, Erin was calmer, able to be changed on her back, and settled in her moses basket. After the 3rd treatment she is relaxed, enjoys lying down and continues to thrive. I would highly recommend this gentle and effective treatment to any parent experiencing problems such as ours. I have recently taken my daughter for two appointments with Andrea. She has always suffered with reflux which has meant screaming, vomiting and bottle refusal at night. She was 8 months at the time and I was beyond tired! I was really interested to learn about trauma during birth and how that can have a knock on effect to how well a baby settles. Following the first appointment, my daughter slept for hours!! She was in a peaceful sleep and didn’t wake up in distress. This lasted for about a week. We booked another appointment and had similar results.
Although we still have issues, my husband and I agreed that it was well worth the money to get some actual sleep and to know that our little girl was well rested too. Thanks so much. (N. Carmichael)
